Mother Shuckin' Oyster Roast

The oyster roast gods smiled upon us and NoDa Brewing this past Sunday and we are so grateful. The best roasts are those that make you feel like you’re on the coast, even when you’re nearly 200 miles away from it. Alongside some crisp temps & overcast skies, we steamed and served up some fresh South Carolina wilds at this year’s Mother Shuckin’ Oyster Roast.

For the second year in a row, we teamed up with NoDa Brewing to host a roast to coincide with the release of their yearly collaborative beer with Front Street Brewery, Mother Shucker – a delicious Oyster Stout. We ditched the fried chicken and kept things simple and good this go around, offering oysters by the bucket, bowls of traditional clam chowder, and an all you can eat option – which was quite popular.

The food was tasty, the beer was refreshing, and the company was wonderful. A big thank you to all those who came out to grub down. We are already looking forward to next year.
